Notably, there is a patch of white paint on the bottom of the barrel, just ahead of the forend. There are some light-moderate handling marks, nicks and scuffs on the gun’s metal surfaces. The shotgun is coated in mild-moderate patches of surface oxidation and it has taken a patina color. Overall Condition: The shotgun has no remaining metal finish. Overall, the stocks are in Good condition.īore Condition: The bore is grey with scattered patches of pitting. The buttplate has some light handling marks. The LOP is approximately 14” from the trigger to the rear end of the butt-plate.

Notably, the top right portion of the forend has moderate wear, there is a ding on the left side of the forend, there is a light crack at the rear end of the top-tang and there is a patch of black colored fouling on the left side of the toe. The stocks have some light-moderate handling marks, compressions, scuffs and nicks. Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The stocks are two piece smooth wood featuring a detachable forend, semi-pistol grip, straight comb and black hard rubber butt-plate. I am guessing that Iver Johnson is securing a quantity of the MechTech conversion kits and selling them as assembled units with their 1911 frames.įor comparison, the MechTech 1911 basic unit (no sights or rails) goes for $359.95. The MechTech units look exactly like the new Iver Johnson 1911A1 Carbine. MechTech sells a carbine conversion unit (CCU) for the Glock and 1911 pistols. The same general thing has been tried before with kits that convert various pistols to carbines. Pricing is already listed as $623.95 on some websites. The barrel appears to be about 16″ in length. From the photo, you can see there is a charging handle on the left side of the weapon. Additionally, it looks to have a removable carry handle, removable front sight and a single Picatinny rail on the top of the rifle upper. 45 ACP cartridge and looks like it retains all of the normal 1911 controls, grip safety and more. The Iver Johnson 1911A1 Carbine is a new rifle that appears to mate a 1911 pistol to a AR-style rifle.
